I am a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher who has a passion for creating stimulating educational environments where students are inspired to learn and grow to their highest and unique potential. I seek to inspire challenge, creativity, and an ardent curiosity for intellectual inquiry.

Classroom Teacher

2021 - Present

Crafting captivating units and lesson plans that align with the curriculum while catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Programs

2012 - Present

Through creative pedagogies, I create and deliver programs for schools, circuses, outreach projects, emerging artists, councils, and tertiary institutions.

  • Circus schools: C!RCA, Umbilico, Flipside Circus, Circus Monoxide, Claire’s Circus School, SheMoves, CYCAS Circus, Circus Avalon, DanceAlong and Cirquest.

  • Schools: Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane Grammar School, Brisbane Girls Grammar, Christchurch Polytechnic Institute, Indooroopilly State High.

  • Regional tours: Human Pyramid Tour (circus) & QLD Governments Q150’s celebrations tour (dance).

Digital Programs Delivery Coordinator

  • Connected with sector organisations, schools, community groups, and general public participants to deliver digital circus tutorials, leveraging digital assets to maintain access to circus experiences and build engagement for future offerings.

  • Monitored the take-up of digital programs and responded to participant sentiment to ensure program delivery remained dynamic and continually met stakeholder needs.

  • This position played a vital role in maintaining relationships and educational output while the company developed strategies to reimagine its activities in the post-covid performing arts space.

Training Centre Director

CIRCA  2018-2020

  • Managed and coordinated the educational, administrative, HR, and financial affairs of the training center that comprised of over 25 staff and 200+ students

  • Programs and curriculum creation and development

  • Taught across all elite, recreational, school, partnership, workshop and outreach programs

  • Directed shows and rehearsals

  • Developed approaches to management and policy within broad guidelines

  • Liaised with other organisations, universities, schools, parents, participants, and the wider community to grow stakeholder relationships

  • Identified current and future needs of students and staff with development strategies

  • Implemented new digital systems for lesson plans, rostering, payroll, reporting, acquittals, and enrolments

  • Collected and analysed data to lead decision-making

  • Supervised the maintenance of facilities to provide a safe working environment, including the creation of risk management plans, and the implementation of a COVIDsafe plan

  • Investigated and implemented methods of raising additional funds
